Steven Blaustein

Steven Blaustein, Esq. serves as General Counsel for HaysVentures, LLC and all its related subsidiaries and affiliates (hereinafter "HaysVentures"). As General Counsel, Mr. Blaustein is responsible for the negotiation and drafting of all corporate agreements, preparation of all corporate documents and the formation of all new corporate subsidiary and affiliates of HaysVentures as well as handling a plethora of daily legal issues.

Prior to joining HaysVentures, LLC, Mr. Blaustein served as Corporate Counsel for the Kushner Companies, Florham Park, New Jersey, one of the largest owners and managers of multifamily apartments in the United States with a residential portfolio consisting of thirty thousand residential units and a commercial portfolio consisting of fifteen million square feet of rentable space. During his five year tenure as Corporate Counsel, Mr. Blaustein, was responsible for the negotiation and drafting of agreements for the purchase and sale of real estate and mortgage financing, review of due diligence documentation and the formation of joint venture partnerships and corporate entities. Mr. Blaustein also negotiated and drafted complex retail commercial leases for tenants including, but not limited to, Macy's, The Gap, Starbucks, Toys R Us, The Children's Place and the Strip House Restaurant and drafted the residential lease used portfolio wide. Additionally, Mr. Blaustein was required to litigate, from inception to completion, bankruptcy proceedings and landlord and tenant and proceedings for all residential and commercial portfolio properties. Mr. Blaustein was a member of the New Jersey Apartment Association.

After his tenure at the Kushner Companies, Mr. Blaustein joined the private practice law firm of Cyruli, Shanks, Hart and Zizmor, LLP, New York, New York. As a Senior Leasing and Litigation Associate, Mr. Blaustein negotiated and drafted complex commercial office and retail leases, subleases, licensing agreements and assignments representing major New York City landlord clients including SL Green Realty Corp., Eemerge NYC, LLC, Sitt Asset Management, LLC, the Roosevelt Hotel and Vornado Realty Trust.

Mr. Blautein earned a Bachelor of Business degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Massachusetts and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law, Hamden, Connecticut. Mr. Blaustein is admitted to practice law before the courts of New York, New Jersey, the United States District Courts of the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
